Some people perceive the amount of 40-50 Euro per month as a lot. In contrast to all other kindergartens we pay minimum wage – including during holidays. This means our employees receive a sustainable income which can cover their costs – a goal which we carefully consider in this project.In addition our employees get health insurance, also a special bonus. Officially basic care should be free but reality looks differently. Heath insurance is an important key to proper medical care. Most Zimbabweans are not paid in accordance with national law, if a regular income is available at all. At the moment only about 10-20% of the people are officially employed, everyone else is without a job. This is how people are forced into corruption and eventually have to flee their country.
The eligibility criteria are in English since the sponsorship applicants are the parents in Zimbabwe.
Recipients must reapply for a Scholarship each year that it is requested. Furthermore, a personal interviews of the applicant’s family may be requested. The selection of the recipients will be made by the Pre-School Scholarship Committee
All information received during the scholarship process will be kept confidential, with applications being presented to the Review Committee. Only those determining scholarship eligibility, reporting on program use and effectiveness, maintaining program records or who are responsible for review of the scholarship program have access to personal scholarship and financial information
Scholarships may be awarded for a full year or a term. Eligibility for scholarship does NOT guarantee actual receipt of scholarship; the total of scholarships granted is limited by the available funds .
